Perfect Storm in Soybeans

Perfect storm in soybeans

We are long the front contract, March, in Soybeans @ 1481.0 on what is almost a Perfect Storm in Soybeans as mentioned byAgrimoney.com - the main source for the information below:
  1. There has been a 2 mio. tonnes downgrade to Argentinian crop (to 50 tonnes);
  2. There are increasing problems to ship the soybeans from mainly Brazil - rain has delayed the harvest and created a vessel line-up of up to 30 to 40 days;
  3. Looking slightly ahead - the usage of soybeans was 2,263 tonnes in September to February, but it needs to slow to below 823 mio. bushels during March to August. This normally happens seasonally, but the drop needs to be double of what we saw last year (from a 37 per cent decline to 63 per cent)
  4. The charts are also extremely supportive (above);
  5. Finally, the seasonal charts are very supportive from here.
  6. Below is the ticket and ticker in the Saxo Platform - Stop should be placed below 1400.00
